Do I pay before or after my move?

We will require full payment upon completion of the job, before the movers leave your premises. You may pay with cash, major credit card or a debit card. Do I have to pay for parking permits for your moving trucks?

Yes. We strongly recommend that you make parking arrangements far enough in advance for our moving truck(s) including the costs of any parking meters or permits. Failure to handle this will result in the inclusion of additional fees on your final bill from Cratos including any issued parking tickets. Continue Reading

Do you have packing services available?

Yes, we do. We will pack as many items as you will need whether it is your entire residence or only certain items. Please arrange this with us in advance enabling our staff to schedule the time necessary to do your packing and to allow us to adjust the cost for your move accordingly to avoid delays on moving day. Will stairs be a problem for your movers?

No. The Cratos team is made up of professional and skilled Boston movers who can handle a variety of situations and challenges from multiple floors with stairs and confined spaces to low ceilings and narrow entryways. Continue Reading

How do you schedule the arrival time on moving day?

Because unforeseen situations can occur during a relocation that could cause unexpected delays, we will set an arrival window rather than a fixed time to make sure that our Cratos movers will remain on schedule for your relocation. Continue Reading

How long will my move take?

Just like snowflakes, no two moves are the same. The time that it will take to move your belongings will be contingent upon the size of your residence including the number of rooms and floors, sheds, garage or any other spaces containing your possessions. We will factor in the mileage and possible stops on the way, as well as any additional time that will be needed for the packing and containment of special items. Continue Reading

How do you charge?

We will charge you a straight hourly rate and the clock will start ticking the moment our Cratos team arrives on moving day to the moment they drive off after delivery. We will add in the time that it will take for our crew to arrive from the terminal and the time that it will take to return at the conclusion of your relocation. Continue Reading

Do you provide long distance moving?

Do you have insurance coverage?

Yes. We have all of the necessary insurance to cover any possible mishaps during the move within any type of private or public dwelling across the country. Continue Reading

Would it be easier if I leave my belongings inside my furniture drawers or cabinets?

No. Leaving your items inside of drawers and cabinets will add unnecessary weight to the furniture components and could create a dangerous situation for the mover, your furniture and surrounding areas, and for the contents left inside. Please empty all areas of containment to ensure that each of your items will be packed safely and labeled accordingly. Continue Reading

Can I add any services on moving day?

We would prefer that you make all of your arrangements in advance to prevent delays or other issues on moving day. However, we will do our best to accommodate you. Continue Reading

Do you transport pets?

No. For the safety and comfort level of your pets, please make your own arrangements to transport them. It would be advisable to have a friend or family member keep your pets during the actual move if possible. If not, please make sure that you have travel bowls with you for food and water during the relocation and in transit, if moving long distance. Continue Reading

Are there any physical contents that you will not transport?

Yes. We will not handle, carry or transport any illegal items, firearms or explosives, or anything else that might be potentially hazardous, such as chemical cleaning products, solvents, paints, and other flammable substances whether in liquid or solid form. Continue Reading

Can you make a stop to pick up items that I have in storage to take with us on moving day?

Absolutely. However, it would be best if you let us know in advance so we may include these stops in our schedule and mileage calculations before moving day for accurate timing, fuel estimation, and pricing. Continue Reading

How many trucks will you need for my move?

The number of trucks and crew members will depend upon the size of your residence, number of floors and rooms, and the number of large furnishings. Continue Reading

What happens if the furniture is too big to fit through the doorway?

Our Cratos movers will have the tools necessary to disassemble oversized furnishings for easier extraction and travel. When everything is delivered, our movers will reassemble those pieces for you. Hoisting services may become necessary depending upon the size of the furniture. Continue Reading

If I rent my own moving truck, will you offer loading and unloading services?

How do I request a quote?

You are welcome to email us, use the online submission form on our website or you can speak with us directly. We will make every effort to accommodate you in any manner that is convenient for you and we will provide you with a free quote that reflects all of the information that you have included.
